For anyone going to Turkey hotels are not in short supply; with well over half the country’s boundaries being shoreline, whether it’s the Mediterranean, the Aegean or the Black Sea there is an abundance of hotels in Turkey. As well as a great number of hotels in Turkey there is also a great variety, from the older, generally two or three star rated properties to the ultra modern five star resort hotels that provide everything that discerning guests could need, within their walls.
Apart from the large multi storey modern edifices built to cater for the mass tourism trade there are many small family run hotels in Turkey, these can vary greatly from rather run down neglected establishments that have seen better days to very impressive ‘boutique’ Turkish hotels. These little gems are usually family run and offer a really welcoming family atmosphere, almost providing a home from home and are my favourite form of hotels in Turkey.
As well as the traditional seaside resort hotels in Turkey we are starting to see the development of golf in Turkey hotels are starting to advertise the proximity of golf courses and to offer tee time booking as part of their facilities. As with many other countries, the authorities in Turkey have realised that golf tourism is generally also quality tourism and golf resorts such as Gloria Golf which was the first hotel in Turkey to be built with its own golf course.
Other hotels in Turkey are looking for speciality activities to offer the public and create their own ‘niche market’; with its long and varied coastline there are numerous opportunities for hotels in Turkey to develop activities featuring the sea, such as diving, sailing, wind/kite surfing depending on the prevailing conditions. Whatever your requirement there’s bound to be a Turkey hotel that’s right for you.
